Your browser, connected

Bring the next step closer.

Connect brings these capabilities together in one extension. Each permission is yours to choose when the approved release is installed.

The next conversation, one click away

Choose Call, Text, Copy, or Add to contacts beside a phone number. Tel opens with the number ready for your review. Connect never places a call or sends a text on its own.

Turn a tab into a walkthrough

Start a current-tab recording for Guide, with optional microphone narration. A visible recording indicator and Stop control stay available. Sign in and approve an upload before your recording leaves the browser.

Ask about the page you choose

Enable page context separately, then choose Ask about this page to send permitted page text to Scribed AI. Form fields are excluded. Your account owns the context you choose to share.

Keep useful activity on your terms

Browsing history and network request metadata each have their own opt-in. Local collection is bounded, with retention, export, deletion, and a separate choice to upload to your Scribed account.

Permissions with a purpose

Your tabs. Your choices.

Optional collection begins off and stays separate from phone links. Recording always needs you to start it. Turning on a capability does not approve an upload.

  1. 01

    Choose your websites

Install the approved Chrome extension when available. Grant access only to the websites where you want Connect to work.

  2. 02

    Choose your capabilities

Page context, browsing history, and network metadata begin off. Turn on only what you need, and revoke each permission whenever you want.

  3. 03

    Review the next step

Review calls and texts in Tel. Start and stop recordings yourself. Sign in before uploading, and choose when local context is shared with Scribed.

Sensitive-page detection can miss things. Keep Connect off private sites, avoid recording sensitive details, and review before sharing. Optional activity excludes form inputs, headers, cookies, bodies, and URL query strings. You can export and delete saved activity.

Before you connect

Good questions.

Read the privacy policy
Can I add Connect to Chrome today?

The Chrome Web Store release is being prepared. Add to Chrome becomes available when the approved Connect listing is configured. There is no placeholder download or shared identity with the older Tel extension.

What can Connect read?

Phone detection works on websites you allow. Page text, browsing history, and network metadata require separate permission, and tab recording requires you to start it. Network metadata excludes request and response bodies, headers, cookies, and URL query strings. Connect does not read form fields.

How does Connect handle sensitive pages?

Optional page and activity collection skips incognito, recognized banking and health sites, and sign-in, password, or payment pages. Detection is conservative, but cannot recognize every sensitive page. Keep access off for private sites and review what you choose to share.

Where does my data go?

Optional activity starts in bounded local storage. Uploading requires Connect sign-in and an explicit sharing choice, through Scribed’s API to your account. You can revoke collection, export saved activity, and delete local or uploaded activity. Stored activity expires according to the retention shown in Connect.

Can Tel become my default phone?

Connect can offer to open phone links in Tel after you opt in. Browser and operating-system handler support varies, and any supported registration needs your confirmation. You can turn Connect’s handling off and restore your previous default in browser or system settings.

Does Connect replace the Guide Mac companion?

Connect is for a Chrome tab. The Guide Mac companion remains the option for full-screen or window capture. Existing Guide and Tel extension installations keep their identities while the Connect release and coexistence behavior are validated.

Can an agent control my browser?

Agent control is not enabled in Connect. The future design requires approval for each session, a visible control bar with Stop and Take over, and a restricted set of websites. Installing Connect does not grant an agent control of your tabs.
