Zoom meetings.
Notes in Scribed.

Connect your Zoom account to Scribed Transcriptions, then send Scribed Notetaker to a meeting you choose. Your recording and transcript are saved in the workspace you select.

Open integrations

Connect Zoom

  1. Sign in to Scribed. If you are new, finish account signup and verification first.
  2. Open Settings → Integrations. Find Zoom and choose Connect.
  3. Sign in to the Zoom account you want to use. Review the requested permissions and authorize Scribed. If Zoom requires administrator approval, complete that process first.
  4. Return to Scribed and check the Zoom connection and account shown. If authorization did not finish, start again from the Zoom row.

Scribed requests your Zoom profile and meeting authorization so the notetaker can join with your authorization. Connecting alone does not send a bot. A connected account does not override the host’s admission or recording settings.

Record a meeting

  1. Open Tools → Transcribe and choose the meeting source. Paste the Zoom invitation URL into Meeting link.
  2. Under When to join, choose Join now for an ongoing meeting, or Schedule for later and enter its date and time.
  3. Choose Save to workspace carefully. Click Send bot, or Schedule notetaker for a later meeting.
  4. The host may need to admit Scribed Notetaker and allow recording. Tell participants that the meeting is being recorded and transcribed.
  5. Open the transcription in the selected workspace’s Meetings page. Follow its joining, recording and processing status; the transcript becomes available after processing completes.

To stop an active capture, open its transcription and use Cancel bot. The host can also remove the notetaker from the Zoom meeting. Scheduled recordings can be changed or canceled in Settings → Integrations.

Disconnect or remove access

In Scribed, open Settings → Integrations → Zoom → Disconnect and confirm. This removes this Scribed account’s saved connection. Existing recordings remain in Scribed, and a recording already in progress is not stopped by disconnecting. Use Cancel bot or the host’s meeting controls separately.

To remove authorization in Zoom, sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open My Library, find Scribed, and choose More → Remove under Actions. Confirm removal. Follow Zoom’s removal instructions if its interface differs.

Connecting again requires a new authorization. A shared connection may still be used elsewhere; disconnecting it from Scribed does not replace or remove another app’s connection. Contact support if you need help with retained recordings or account data.

Troubleshooting

Zoom asks for approval or says the app is unavailable

Your Zoom account may require an administrator’s approval, or the app may not yet be available to your account. Follow the approval prompt in Zoom or contact Scribed support with the message shown. Repeatedly reconnecting will not change an account approval restriction.

The connection expired or authorization did not finish

Return to Settings → Integrations and check the Zoom row. Use Reconnect if it is available, with the same Zoom account. If your Scribed session expired, sign in again and start Connect from Settings. Do not reuse an old authorization link.

A connection is pending or cannot be confirmed

Check its status before starting another connection. If the message persists, contact support. Some existing shared connections cannot be reconnected from Scribed; the page explains when an administrator needs to help. Do not replace a shared connection to work around an error.

The notetaker has not joined

Check that the meeting has started and the meeting link is correct, including its passcode when required. Ask the host to admit Scribed Notetaker from the waiting room and allow recording. Locked meetings, authentication requirements or the host’s settings can prevent admission even when Zoom is connected.

Scribed asks you to update billing or workspace access

Meeting capture requires an editable workspace with a full seat and available transcription usage. Ask a workspace owner or administrator to check access and billing. Connecting Zoom by itself does not add usage credits.

The transcript is processing or a send failed

A transcript can continue processing after the meeting ends. Check the existing transcription’s status before sending another bot; an unconfirmed request may still be joining. If it fails or stays unresolved, contact support with the visible error, approximate time, time zone and transcription identifier if shown.
