Support / Claude connector

Bring your Scribed work into Claude.

Connect your Scribed account to work with records, email, calendars, documents and connected services with your approval. Your Scribed account and workspace permissions follow you.

Set up the connector

Connect Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors. Add a custom remote connector named Scribed.
  2. Enter https://app.scribed.ai/mcp/claude as the server URL. Use OAuth sign-in; if an OAuth client option appears, choose Register automatically.
  3. Choose Connect, sign in to Scribed in the browser, and review the requested permissions before authorizing. Enter your password only on Scribed’s sign-in page.
  4. Return to Claude and enable Scribed for the conversation. Ask it to list your workspaces, then name the one you want to use before requesting workspace data.

For managed Claude accounts, an organization owner may need to add the connector in Organization settings first; each member then connects their own Scribed account. See Claude’s custom connector instructions for its current setup controls.

What you can do

This connector shares the CLI and MCP tool catalog across Scribed workspaces, communication, documents and connected services. Available actions depend on your account and workspace permissions. Start with these workflows:

  • Find contacts and deals, inspect collections and saved views, and review record activity. Create, update and delete records, notes and collection views.
  • Search and read workspace pages. Create, update or delete pages and page comments with information you have reviewed.
  • Review saved call history and transcripts, read connected mailbox threads, prepare or send approved emails, and manage calendar events. Communication tools can contact other people.
  • Read and manage supported documents and files in your private Vault and shared workspace Drive. Use supported connected services after linking your own provider account in Scribed.
  • Run configured automations, manage HR and payroll ledgers, and create designs such as presentations, logos and stationery. Existing confirmations, role checks and usage charges apply.

Actions available elsewhere in Scribed are excluded from this connector:

  • Direct collection of outstanding payments and countersigning SAFE financial agreements. Payroll ledger tools do not transfer money.
  • Standalone AI image, video and audio generation. Design workflows such as slides, diagrams, logos and stationery remain available.

These limits apply to the dedicated Claude connection even if other tool categories are requested.

Access and approvals

OAuth grants Claude access on your behalf without sharing your Scribed password. Read authorization allows supported data reads; write authorization also allows supported changes and actions. Your Scribed workspace membership, role and record access still apply to every request.

Write tools can send communications, change calendar events and access settings, edit or delete workspace content, run automations and agents, manage paid services, and overwrite files. Credential tools can reveal authorized secrets and one-time codes to Claude. Copying a Vault file to a workspace Drive makes that copy available to every workspace member and can replace a file at the same path. Review the destination and exact content before approving those actions. Use Claude’s tool controls to disable actions you do not want available. Tool safety labels help Claude present actions, but do not guarantee that it will ask for confirmation every time.

Existing Scribed access, storage, provider connection and usage billing limits still apply. Paid operations use your normal Scribed billing account. Connecting Claude does not change your role or connect a third-party service automatically.

Try a prompt

Review your pipeline

List my Scribed workspaces and ask which one to use. Then summarize its open deals by stage, including missing next steps. Use the records you find and do not change anything.

Follow up on calls

In the Scribed workspace I choose, find the five most recent completed calls. Summarize the decisions and next steps from their saved notes, naming each source call. Flag missing notes, owners or dates instead of guessing them.

Prepare a weekly update

Use the records and saved notes from recent calls in my selected Scribed workspace to draft a weekly update. Show me the draft and the proposed page title. Ask for my approval before creating the workspace page.

Disconnect and revoke access

Open Claude’s Connectors settings, select Scribed and choose Disconnect or Remove. Disabling Scribed for one conversation only changes its availability in that conversation; remove the account connection when you want to stop using it across Claude.

For help revoking Scribed-side authorization, contact support@scribed.ai from your account email. Disconnecting does not undo completed changes or delete information already included in Claude conversations. Manage that history separately in Claude.

Troubleshooting

I cannot add or see the connector

Open Claude’s Connectors settings and check your organization’s connector policy. On a managed Claude account, an organization owner may need to add Scribed before you can connect your own account. Enable Scribed for the conversation where you want to use it.

Sign-in expired or authorization did not finish

Return to Claude and start Connect again. The expanded connector requires a new authorization, including for an account that previously connected the smaller catalog. Sign in to the intended Scribed account and finish the authorization screen. An old authorization link cannot be reused. For custom setup, check the exact server URL and choose automatic OAuth client registration if Claude asks how to identify the client.

My workspace or records are missing

Ask Claude to list your available Scribed workspaces and select the correct one. Check that the signed-in account is still a member and can open the same records in Scribed. Your workspace role and record visibility rules can limit what is returned.

I can read data but cannot make a change

The connection needs write authorization and your Scribed role must allow the action. A read-only authorization omits write tools. Review the displayed error and reconnect if you need to change the granted permissions. Authorizing a connector does not give you administrator privileges.

An action I use in Scribed is unavailable here

The Claude connector uses the same tool definitions and execution code as the Scribed CLI and general MCP server. Direct payment collection, SAFE countersigning and standalone AI media generation are excluded from the directory connector. Design workflows remain available. Provider tools require the corresponding service to be connected in Scribed.

A request fails or a file cannot be saved

Wait before retrying a rate-limited request. For files, check the path, file type, storage allowance and destination permissions. Before repeating a change after a timeout, read the page, note or file to check whether the first attempt succeeded.

Privacy and support

Scribed handles connector requests through its own API. Data returned by a tool is shared with Claude to answer your request. This can include private records, call notes, pages and file information that your account can access. Choose the data you ask Claude to use with that sharing in mind.

Read the Scribed Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Claude’s handling of returned data also depends on your Anthropic plan, settings and policies.

For help, email support@scribed.ai with the action you attempted, the displayed error and the time it happened. Do not include passwords, verification codes, access tokens or private workspace contents.
