Guide screens captured images and narration for sensitive information. Detected image regions are permanently masked; suitable text can become clearly labelled fictional examples.
Automatic detection can miss things. You review the screenshots and instructions before export, and every edit requires a fresh approval. Narrated video generation sends your screen recording and transcript for private cloud processing after you allow it. Sampled privacy checks can miss details between frames, so review the complete video before sharing.

Mac · Apple Silicon
The recorder supports Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 14 or later, with microphone recording and local transcription built into Guide. Walkthroughs run for up to five minutes.
Checking Mac download availability…
- Install Guide when the download is available. Open the installer, launch Guide from Applications, and sign in.
- Prepare local transcription. Guide downloads its speech model during setup. You only need Guide to record and transcribe.
- Choose what to record. Pick a screen or window, allow screen and microphone access for Guide, and explain the steps in your own words.
Use your Scribed account and a workspace you belong to. Already installed? Choose Check for Updates in the Guide menu. If setup is interrupted, reopen Guide to continue. Your existing guides stay in your library.
Review and export work in a browser, including on mobile. Windows, Intel Mac, iPhone, and Android recording are not yet supported.
